Texas Young Guns At Longhorn Volleyball Camp
CC Storm Volleyball Club is honored to have two of our club coaches at this years University of Texas Longhorn Volleyball Camp.
Meet Our Two Young Guns
Shelby Curlee, our 2015 season 16’s coach, and Thomas Ramirez, our 2015 season 18’s coach, were both on the court at UT this summer as part of the camp volleyball coaching staff. Not only were they representing us there, but these two young guns were there as Head Coaches.
Shelby Curlee has been with CC Storm all four seasons as a coach. She’s also in her last year at Texas A & M University – Corpus Christi, where she is pursuing a degree in Education with a minor in Kinesiology. Shelby has coached 12’s, 13’s, 14’s, & 16’s. In the 2015 season she led her club to several strong performances.
Thomas Ramirez joined CC Storm Volleyball in the 2015 season to coach our 18’s team. Thomas came to us after coaching with Austin Junior Volleyball. He led his team through a great season where they traveled as far away as Philadelphia for a tournament.
These two young guns have been instrumental in taking our program to the next level. But it wasn’t only in our club season, it has also been at our weekly clinics and summer camps.
This is not the first time these two have coached the Longhorns Volleyball Camp. Both were there last year as Assistant Coaches. Moving up as Head Coaches this year says a lot about them as coaches and the future they have in the sport. We couldn’t be more excited to have both returning for our 2016 club season.
