Jamie Gill Joins CC Storm

CC Storm and the volleyball programs in the Corpus area get even more experience for their players as Coach Jamie Gill joins the CC Storm staff to oversee all our coaches. Coach Gill brings a ton of experience and a winning tradition to our players. Here’s a little bit of her experience.

I am originally from Friendswood, Texas. I played high school volleyball and have played in the state tournament 3 times and competed in the Jr. Olympics with my club team 3 times as well. I moved to Corpus Christi to attend school at Texas A&M Corpus Christi where I obtained a degree in Kinesiology. I have coached club volleyball since 2005 and seen multiple players grow to have the same passion for the game as I do. I started my high school coaching career in Ingleside, where I was the head coach from 2008-2012. During my time there, the volleyball program made the playoffs 4 out of the 5 years. In 2013 I took the head volleyball job at Tuloso-Midway High School. Since my time at T-M, the volleyball program has won its first district title (undefeated),made it past the second round of playoffs, made its first appearance at the Regional Volleyball Tournament and I was awarded District 30-5A Coach of the year in 2015.

I have a true passion for the game of volleyball and I love seeing athletes grow in the volleyball players and young women. Being successful as an athlete is great, but learning life lessons and how to be a good citizen of the world is much more important. I want my athletes to remember more than just winning games at the end of the day. If I can continue to reach out to my athletes as a coach on and off the court, then I know I am doing my job!
