Storm Performance Young Squads Dominate Alamo March Madness
The future is bright for Storm Performance Volleyball, as our 12 Red and 13 White teams showed their championship mettle by capturing titles at the prestigious Alamo March Madness tournament this past weekend.
12 Red Rules Alamo March Madness
Coach Angie’s 12 Red squad steamrolled through the competition, going a perfect 3-0 in the tournament. They kicked things off by dispatching Alamo Silver in straight sets 25-10, 25-9.
Next up, they made quick work of CTX Slam 25-8, 25-9. In the championship match, 12 Red battled past Dr. Net Force 25-16, 25-18 to claim the crown.
Setter Erabella Muñoz orchestrated the offense to perfection all weekend, earning tournament MVP honors. Erabella’s aggressive serving, precise distribution to her attackers, and court leadership were catalysts for the team’s dominance. Her ability to create assists and involve her teammates made the 12 Red attack virtually unstoppable.
The MVP performance caps off a tremendous season of growth for the talented young setter. With her skills, smarts, and drive, Erabella’s future at Storm Performance is tremendously bright.
13 White Captures Title
Meanwhile, Storm’s 13 White squad under Coach Taylor matched 12 Red’s flawless 3-0 tournament mark en route to their own Alamo March Madness championship.
They opened with a commanding 25-3, 25-15 win over AP Grey, then swept past Alamo Black 25-10, 25-18. In a thriller of a finals match, 13 White outlasted SA Force White 25-21, 27-25 to clinch the trophy.
Setter Aubree Cortez was named the 13 White MVP after engineering the offense with precision and exhibiting tremendous leadership throughout the weekend. Her serving helped stake 13 White to early leads, while her court vision and distribution allowed the team’s attackers to terminate at will.
Aubree’s complete command of the offense and ability to rally her teammates was a driving force behind their gritty title run at Alamo March Madness.
The future remains bright for Storm Performance as these young stars continue developing their skills and pushing the program’s winning tradition forward. Congratulations to our 12 Red and 13 White champions!
